Would you like to know more about your Pcar and how to control it better under real world driving conditions?
Here is your chance to attend an Introduction to Technical Inspections and basic Car Control techniques.
This is an informational workshop to prepare you for attending a PCA Driver’s Training (DT) and/or Driver’s Education (DE) event. This is not a race, and not a high-speed event.
What it is is a comprehensive overview of the requirements for you and your car to attend a DT/DE event. It will cover the basics of what you can expect before participating in a DT/DE event and what will be required of you when you arrive. It will include the tech inspection required and why you should know this to help maintain your car for any event.
The basics of inspecting your car for safe driving on a high-speed track will be covered by a PCA Tech Inspector. This will be accomplished by using the Official PCA DE Tech Inspection Form as a guide and an outline. We will have a car on lift jacks to enable you to see what is being inspected top and bottom, inside and out.
After the participants complete an inspection of their vehicle, each driver will learn the basics of braking and turning their cars. This will be conducted in a controlled environment under the guidance of a PCA Driving Instructor. This will be accomplished using a closed course, cones, spotters, and safety.
Safety is always first.
Cost will be $50 per participant. Liability waivers and liability insurance will be provided.
